The Kirby Lester KL16 unit that was donated to the University of Houston supports the company's mission to provide pharmacies with solutions to enhance productivity and quality control while minimizing dispensing errors. The KL16 is a complete dispensing system for oral solids and unit of use medications. The KL16 uses advanced counting technology as well as bar code scanning, biometrics and onscreen medication images to enhance dispensing accuracy, improve efficiencies and prevent medication errors. University of Houston pharmacy students will use the device in the college's Pharmacy Care Laboratory where daily pharmacy operations are simulated.
